Omaha, NE (October 10, 2016) – Scriptown Brewing Company (Omaha, NE) and Zipline Brewing Co. (Lincoln, NE) are partnering with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) this October to raise funds and awareness with a new beer called “Hopscotch.” Hopscotch is a Scottish-type 80/- Shilling ale, similar to a British bitter. Fermented with a British ale yeast, Hopscotch is a deep golden hue with underlying notes of caramel, toast and a floral hoppiness courtesy of Simcoe and German Tettnanger hop varieties. Eminently sessionable at 4.1% ABV and 24 IBUs.
A special tapping event will be held Tuesday, October 25 from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm at Scriptown Brewing Company located at 3922 Farnam Street, Omaha, NE in the Blackstone District. The event will include unveiling of the new Hopscotch brew and a silent auction with items from merchants in the Blackstone District. All proceeds from the silent auction as well as $1 from every pint of Hopscotch will benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society – Nebraska Chapter.
The specialty brew will be available until kegs run dry at both Scriptown as well as Zipline’s tap room (2100 Magnum Circle, Suite 1, Lincoln, NE) with $1 of each pint sold donated to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
